The 26th annual Estrella Damm Padel Tour gets underway

The amateur competition will feature 27 express tournaments, 1 Open week tournaments and 5 weekly federated tournaments

The Estrella Damm Padel Tour starts its 26th annual event, which will feature 5 federated week tournaments, 27 express tournaments and an Open week event. It is a commitment that will help to promote the city of Madrid as the World Capital of Sport, a title it holds this year.

After the celebration of the 25 Anniversary in 2021, a year in which the Circuit received the award for Best Amateur Padel Circuit 2021 at the World Padel Awards, a new stage full of challenges and proposals begins. This year, the Circuit will continue with its commitment to support women's competition. It will focus on aspects such as the importance of the presence of women in the arbitration of the tournaments, the diversity of formats to support family reconciliation, awarding equal prizes to men and women, promoting the mixed modality and serving as a platform for women's professional competition. It will also stress the importance of eye safety by promoting the use of anti-impact glasses when playing padel.

Estrella Damm and paddle tennis

Estrella Damm has been linked to paddle tennis since the Barcelona '92 Summer Olympics, when it still was a minority sport in Spain. Today it is the second most played sport in Spain, and Estrella Damm has become a leading brand in the world of paddle tennis, both for supporting amateur players and for being the main sponsor of the World Padel Tour.
