Rodilla boosts salad selection with the launch of Gourmet Niçoise salad

Rodilla increased sales of salads in 2017 by 22% compared to the year before, reinforcing its position as a benchmark for balanced and varied food, offering a wide variety of sandwiches, focaccias and wraps.
Rodilla has expanded its range of salads to include the new Gourmet Niçoise salad, a traditional French recipe with a salad base, provided by Florette, and with tuna, potatoes, green beans, red onion, hard-boiled eggs and olives, and a new vinaigrette with mustard.
In keeping with the approach of making quality, artisan products daily in store, Rodilla has added the new salad to its range, which includes César salad, Mediterranean salad and Silvestre salad. The classic César salad was the customers’ favourite in 2017.
Ángel Fernández, Marketing and Business Development Director of Grupo Rodilla, says: "With this new launch we want to expand what we offer our customers and emphasise our commitment to quality raw materials and healthy products. At Rodilla we want customers to enjoy our recipes and to have a choice, to always be able to choose the option that best suits their tastes and needs. We believe that the new Niçoise Gourmet salad is a healthy and delicious alternative, perfect for all tastes.”
In 2017 Rodilla sold 30 million sandwiches
Rodilla also sold 30 million hot and cold sandwiches in 2017, an increase of 15% on the previous year.
The classic Russian salad sandwich was once again the customers’ favourite, with 4.9 million sandwiches sold, followed by the chicken curry sandwich (2.5 million) and the salad sandwich (2.4 million).
