World Padel Tour makes prizes equal between men and women

And so becomes the first global competition to make the awards in both categories equal across all events

World Padel Tour takes a decisive step towards equality between women's and men's professional competition. World Padel Tour has decided to match the prizes awarded in both categories, immediately.

This measure, unprecedented in global professonal competition, completes the awaited equality that Setpoint Events, a management company within both Circuits, has sought since 2013.

This is the latest and most transcendental battery of actions implemented in an attempt to close the gender gap in professional paddle tennis. The 2022 season, which has just begun, was already set on this path by breaking down all barriers with regard to women's events on an international level.

The financial endowment of women's tournaments shall increase by 250% in the Challenger category, 178% in the Open category, 180% in the Master category, and 160% in the Final Master. These are unprecedented increases on a global scale.

This way, World Padel Tour seeks to acknowledge women's authentic professional level and reward the sacrifice that it has meant to compete under unequal conditions until now.
