270 people join 'Cartas Solidarias de Navidad'

Participants have bought gifts to make Christmas wishes come true for people in vulnerable situations or unwanted loneliness

For the third consecutive year, Damm is carrying out 'Cartas Solidarias de Navidad' initiative (Christmas Solidarity Letters), together with the Miaportación.org Foundation, which aims to fulfil the Christmas wishes of adults in vulnerable situations or situations of unwanted loneliness.

During November, 270 volunteers from the company received letters written by people cared for by Fundació Arrels, Amics de la Gent Gran, Associació Sagrada Familia per a Ancians, Fundación San Martín de Porres, Fundación Jesús Abandonado and Sant Joan de Déu, in which they conveyed their wish list for the festive season. The Damm team members bought gifts to fulfil their Christmas wishes and delivered them to these organisations, which will distribute them over the next few days.

"Christmas is a time of excitement and at Damm we want to help everyone, regardless of their situation, to experience this time of year in a special way," explains Alba Linares, Damm's CSR manager.

This is the third year that the company has carried out this solidarity initiative as part of its volunteering scheme #LIVE TO BE PART OF THE CHANGE. Over the last three years, the Damm team in Catalonia, Madrid, Valencia and Malaga has contributed to making the wishes of more than 500 homeless and elderly people living in residences or who find themselves in a situation of unwanted loneliness come true.
