La Mercè is back and, once again, Estrella Damm will kick off the music at La Mercè on Bogatell beach with an exceptional line-up. On 26 September, the Escenario Mediterráneamente will once again be buzzing with three of the most stand-out female voices currently on the scene: Mushka, Rigoberta Bandini and Lia Kali. An event that will put female talent centre stage that promises to be one of the unmissable gigs of Barcelona's town festival.
The first to take to the stage will be Mushka, the twenty-one-year-old who has shaken up the Catalan urban scene to the beat of reggaeton, R&B, dancehall and trap, but with her characteristic sentimental and nostalgic touch. Then, Rigoberta Bandini, the alter ego of Barcelona's Paula Ribó and one of the most original voices in Spanish pop, will offer a live performance brimming with humour, social criticism and introspection, in the middle of the tour for her new and eagerly awaited album Jesucrista Superstar. And closing the night will be the mix of rap, flamenco and soul of Lia Kali, one of the queens of the current urban scene, who will keep the vibe going with her fusion of organic, digital sounds and an innovative take on tradition. The Barcelona-born singer, already considered a revelation on an international scale, will perform songs from her latest album, Kaelis.
Rounding off the performances on Escenario Mediterráneamente, on 27 and 28 September, the Estrella Damm Old Brewery will be the meeting point for intimate Catalan musical proposals, with a clear commitment to young and emerging talent. This year's programme, part of BAM - Barcelona Acció Musical, will revolve around revisiting traditional and contemporary songs, and contemplative pop with electronic overtones. The concerts will be accompanied by a wide range of gastronomic options from local and signature foodtrucks.
