The Estrella Damm Old Brewery celebrates La Mercè with the best music performances from emerging artists

On Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th September, 515 Rosselló Street will have a full slate of live music and DJs on offer, plus culinary delights from local food trucks and free beer tastings

On Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 September, the Estrella Damm Old Brewery will once again fill to the rafters with music to celebrate the city's La Mercè fiesta mayor. The calle Rosselló venue will have a full slate of music on offer from new talents and up-and-coming artists, complemented by the tasty variety offered by local food trucks and free beer tastings for all those who want to sample the brewery's specialities.

Once again, this year, the Antigua Fábrica will be one of the main venues of BAM - Barcelona Acció Musical, with a clear commitment to local and emerging talent. This year's programme will focus on revisiting tradition and contemporary songs, plus contemplative pop with electronic overtones. The resulting line-up will feature a wide range of acts such as the acclaimed Fillas de Cassandra, who will turn the venue into a ritual merging Galician folklore, Greek mythology and contemporary electronica; the cool live punk attitude of Ven'nus, from Sabadell native Valèria Núñez; the urban sounds of Ultralone, lauded as the new star of the Catalan underground; the avant-garde, transgressive show by Gigi Ros; and the delicate live performance of the duo Ani in the Hall, who will present their new EP Inteligencia romántica, plus many other acts.

The music will be accompanied by the gastronomic treats of local food trucks that invite you to experience La Mercè with all your senses. You will be able to sample the empanadas and milanesas of Chalito, the organic, locally raised beef hamburgers of Fileteando and the sweet temptations of Santagloria, and much more.

Between concerts, there will also be free beer tastings so that beer enthusiasts can discover first hand all the specialities that Damm has to offer. There are four shows scheduled each day, starting at 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm, 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm in the Sala de Básculas.

After the warm reception of previous editions, visitors to the Estrella Damm Old Brewery will be able to try "Filling Good", the reusable and intelligent beer mug developed by Damm which aims to improve the consumer experience at large events, reducing queuing times and ensuring the beer stays at the right temperature. It is a 100% sustainable aluminium and ceramic mug, in the shape of a beer barrel, which incorporates a smart device capable of communicating with a reader to make paying quick and easy.

Those who wish to join this initiative that promotes sustainability at large events can rent a "Filling Good" glass for €3, an amount that will be returned immediately in the form of free credit and can be used for their first drinks. It's simple: just download the "Filling Good" app and link a credit card to the smart glass to manage payments. From then on, you can pay directly at the bar via the NFC device at the base of the glass and enjoy a cool beer from the first to the last sip.


Estrella Damm's music programme for La Mercè kicks off on Bogatell beach

On Friday, 26th September, Estrella Damm will kick off its La Mercè music programme with a night of concerts on the Mediterráneamente Stage on Bogatell beach. The event will bring together three of the most representative female voices on the current scene: Mushka, Rigoberta Bandini and Lia Kali, a night that will put female talent centre stage that promises to be one of the unmissable gigs of Barcelona's fiesta mayor.
