Cervezas Victoria and the Málaga Film Festival renew their sponsorship agreement until 2030
The agreement between the two entities will be extended for a further five years and includes the Cine Abierto series, the Cinema Cocina section and activities planned for the festival’s 30th anniversary in 2027, as well as the brand’s centenary in 2028
Cervezas Victoria and the Málaga Film Festival (organised by Málaga City Council through Málaga Procultura) have today announced the renewal of the sponsorship agreement between the brand and the Spanish-language film festival until 2030. The agreement was formalised at the Victoria Brewery in an event attended by the Mayor of Málaga, Francisco de la Torre; the CEO of Damm, Jorge Villavecchia; Málaga City Council’s Councillor for Culture and Historical Heritage, Mariana Pineda; the Director of the Málaga Film Festival, Juan Antonio Vigar; and Cervezas Victoria’s Head of Institutional Relations, Sergio Ragel.
This renewal once again positions Victoria as the official beer of the Málaga Film Festival for the next five years, in line with its commitment to culture and to major events held in the province. In addition to the official sponsorship, Cervezas Victoria has added collaborations in various festival-related activities, which are included in this new agreement, such as the Cine Abierto series featuring free open-air screenings held in different venues across all districts of the city during the summer; and Cinema Cocina, an official section and gastronomic series of the festival showcasing Spanish and Ibero-American documentaries focused on culinary culture. The agreement also includes the brewery’s commitment to actively participate in key milestones such as the festival’s 30th anniversary and its own centenary in 2028.
During the signing ceremony, both parties reviewed the work carried out since 2021, as well as the importance of maintaining their commitment to one of the most prominent events on the national cultural calendar, which continues to strengthen its international profile year after year.
It is also worth highlighting the initiatives that Cervezas Victoria has launched during each edition of the festival, including the digital and outdoor communications campaign entitled “Film Course for Beer Lovers”, the organization of more than ten events at the Victoria Brewery, its space at the Cervantes Theatre, and other initiatives involving content creators, among others.
The event concluded with a toast to the partnership and to the launch of the 29th edition of the Málaga Film Festival, which will be held from 6 to 15 March.
