The Cruïlla Festival, Damm, Barcelona Music Lab and Fundación Ship2B present the Sustainable Festival Challenge

 Sustainable Festival Challenge

This initiative aims to find startups that come up with solutions to reduce the environmental impact of the festival

Damm, in collaboration with Barcelona Music Lab and Fundación Ship2B, is launching the Sustainable Festival Challenge with the aim of turning the Cruïlla Festival into a 100% sustainable event. This is an open call for innovation that aims to generate synergies between startups with environmental objectives, i.e. to seek sustainability projects that can be implemented in future editions of the festival.

Sustainable Festival Challenge consists of two challenges: on the one hand, the Ecodesign challenge, where specialised startups present new materials that eliminate or reduce environmental impact, with a special focus on the development of cups, signage and information. On the other hand, Emissions, with the search for startups that develop and implement methodologies for measuring, reducing and offsetting carbon emissions.

The registration period will be open until 21 April at cruillabarcelona.com/challenge. Among the start-ups that are present, those that will form part of Start-up Week will be selected, an event that will include training, training, exploration of synergies and collaboration channels together with the Cruïlla Festival and Damm, and whose results will be presented to a jury of experts in charge of deciding which proposals will be implemented at Cruïlla 2023.

With this proposal, Cruïlla and Damm aim to find the most disruptive proposals to reduce the environmental impact of the festival, thanks to the participation of companies that can respond to the great challenges faced by major music events and the entertainment sector.
