Estrella Damm has kicked off the summer with La leyenda de Canyut (The Legend of Canyut), the new campaign that’s celebrating the brand’s 150th anniversary with a story about love for the Mediterranean that pays tribute to the values, culture and lifestyle that have inspired it from the get-go.

The campaign tells the story of Canyut, a mysterious character who, many years ago, reached the Mediterranean coast and discovered something that would change his life forever. It’s a story of unexpected encounters, memories that endure through time and a way of life that leaves a lasting impression. A legend which, like all the best stories about the Mediterranean, has been told summer after summer.

To bring this legend to life, Estrella Damm has brought together some of the people who’ve formed part of its universe over the years.  Figures from the worlds of gastronomy, music, the cinema, sports and content creation who embody the values ​​that have inspired the brand for 150 years: Mediterranean culture, creativity, talent, gastronomy and way of life. The participants include Álvaro Cervantes, Laia Costa, Santi Balmes, Jessica Goicoechea, Lily Rowland, Iria del Río, Oriol Pla, Paula Malia, Àngela Mármol, Mireia Oriol, Marc Cucurella, Eric Garcia, Claudia Pina, Jordi Roca, Mushka, Greta, Nil Ojeda and Rels B, to name but a few.

The campaign’s soundtrack features The Beach Boys, the legendary US band, with Wouldn’t It Be Nice, one of the most iconic songs of the 1960s. With its optimistic and evocative spirit, the campaign accompanies the legend of Canyut throughout the piece, contributing to the story’s emotional vibe and connecting it with the celebratory spirit of Estrella Damm’s 150th anniversary.

Following the success of Lo mismo de siempre (The Same Old Story), La leyenda de Canyut is once again an original idea by Oriol Villar (the creator of Estrella Damm’s Mediterráneamente concept), and it’s directed by Nicolás Méndez, the founding partner of the CANADA production company who’s renowned throughout the world for his work with artists such as Rosalía, Travis Scott and Camila Cabello.
