Estrella Damm brings together 30,000 people at Parc del Fòrum in a historic celebration of its 150th anniversary

La Festa dels 150 anys

Oques Grasses, Love of Lesbian, Mushka, The Tyets, Els Catarres, 31 FAM, Ginestà and Maria Jaume delivered an unforgettable eight-hour day of live music by the Mediterranean Sea

Barcelona’s Parc del Fòrum experienced one of the year’s major musical celebrations this Saturday with La Festa dels 150 anys d’Estrella Damm, a mass event that brought together 30,000 people for eight uninterrupted hours of live music and food offerings by the Mediterranean. With two stages alternating concerts from early afternoon onwards and a line-up featuring some of the most prominent names in Catalan music today, Barcelona’s seafront was transformed into a huge popular celebration to mark the brewery’s century and a half of history.

Ginestà opened the celebration at 3.45 pm on the Mediterráneamente Stage with a set centred on their new album, the fifth of their career, Gira tot igual, però diferent, released recently. The duo made up of the Serrasolsas siblings kicked off the afternoon with songs such as “Perdre el cap”, “Muamuamua” and “La meva sort”, in a concert marked by the emotional closeness of the Sant Andreu pair and their connection with the audience. A few minutes later, on the Estrella Damm Stage, Maria Jaume premiered in Barcelona for the first time the songs from her new work, Sant Domingo Forever, in a performance that combined the Mallorcan artist’s Mediterranean delicacy with a sound that is increasingly expansive and festive. “A plaça”, “Focs artificials” and “Sant Domingo Forever” itself formed part of a live set that pays tribute to the fiesta major of the singer’s hometown and also made room for other hits such as “Mon cheri go home”.

The afternoon continued with Els Catarres, who starred in one of the most celebrated moments of the early hours with the live premiere of their new song “Diumenges sense drama”, released this very week. The trio from Aiguafreda alternated new hits such as “La fortuna” and “No és Miami” with generational classics such as “Jenifer”, “Vull estar amb tu” and “Fins que arribi l’alba”, turning the Fòrum into one huge singalong.

On the Estrella Damm Stage, Mushka delivered one of the day’s most explosive performances. In one of the few concerts announced for 2026, the Maresme artist unleashed all her stage presence with songs such as “LOTUS”, “Sembla mentida”, “SexeSexy” and “Samba”, before a devoted crowd that turned the venue into a vast urban dancefloor.

The energy kept building with The Tyets, who reaffirmed their role as one of the most popular bands on the current scene. The duo from Mataró strung together anthems such as “Olívia”, “Sushi Poke”, “Bailoteo” and a remix of “Coti x Coti”, in a festive, cross-generational concert that delighted the crowd.

One of the night’s most moving moments came with Love of Lesbian. The band led by Santi Balmes performed in Barcelona after announcing last February an indefinite hiatus following more than a quarter of a century on stage, as part of a farewell tour laden with symbolism. The quintet revisited some of the most emblematic songs of their career, with tracks such as “Allí donde solíamos gritar”, “La hermandad” and “Cuando no me ves”, but it was with “Club de fans de John Boy” that the audience experienced the concert’s climactic and most ecstatic moment.

As night fell, 31 FAM turned the Mediterráneamente Stage into a true urban party with a set centred on the conceptual project R31 and the subsequent Temporada 2. The Sabadell collective performed some of their biggest anthems, including “La família”, “Valentina”, “Bona vida” and “Mama ho sento”, but it was “Dorayakis” that marked the high point of a high-voltage performance before a completely devoted crowd.

The night closed with Oques Grasses, from Osona, headlining one of the most eagerly awaited concerts of the day. The band launched their farewell tour at the Fòrum ahead of their four final concerts at the Estadi Olímpic, in an especially emotional performance that also became one of the last chances to see them live before they step away from the stage. With 30,000 people singing along to their songs, the group led by Josep Montero turned the close of La Festa dels 150 anys into a celebration charged with emotion, underlining Oques Grasses’ status as one of the most influential bands in contemporary Catalan music.

Beyond the music, the day also sought to celebrate Catalan popular culture through various casteller performances by the Ganàpies de la UAB — the first university casteller group in Catalonia, founded in 1994 — and the Descargolats de la EEBE, one of the newest groups on the Catalan university casteller scene, linked to the Escola d’Enginyeria de Barcelona Est.

The public also enjoyed a wide food offering with around thirty food trucks and stands that turned Parc del Fòrum into a major open-air dining space. Offerings from Bar Pimentel, Bien Kebab, Cecconi’s, Chalito, Cholito Lindo, Collonut, Croquetelle, Deleito, El Filete Ruso, El Pibe, El Pollo, Gogo Helados, Hamburguesa Nostra, Kibuka, La Bikineria, La Burguesa, Lady Dumpling, La Martina, Las Muns, OK Sarrià, Pizza Market, Relleno, Rodilla, Rooster & Bubbles, Tacos Muñoz, VICIO, Zeta Hot Dogs and Zeta Smash Burgers created a diverse range — including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options — designed to complete the day’s celebratory experience by the Mediterranean Sea.

The celebration culminated in a fireworks display by the sea, bringing the festivities to a close in a historic celebration to mark Estrella Damm’s 150th anniversary, reaffirming the brand’s link with music, culture and the Mediterranean way of life.

This major event at Parc del Fòrum was the largest musical celebration of Estrella Damm’s 150th anniversary, which will continue across the territory through a concert series in emblematic venues in Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, Castellón and Andorra, with nearly 50 concerts between September and October featuring emerging and established artists, strengthening the live music venue network across the territory.
