The Sant Jordi Musical is back with Estrella Damm starring Buhos, La Pegatina, 31 FAM, Macaco, Els Amics de les Arts, Maria Jaume, Triquell and Lildami
On 23 April, the Estrella Damm Old Brewery will once again become the musical hub of the festival, with over 20 live performances, album signings and a selection of food and drink options to suit all tastes
Roses, books… and plenty of live music. On 23 April, the Estrella Damm Old Brewery will once again turn into one of the most vibrant spots on this festive day, hosting a new edition of the Sant Jordi Musical festival. For nine hours straight, across three stages and featuring more than 20 concerts, the venue on Rosselló street will be transformed into a veritable musical marathon, bringing together established artists and new voices on the current scene. A now essential event of Barcelona's Sant Jordi festival, this year will have a special meaning coinciding with the celebration of Damm's 150th anniversary.
From midday until late afternoon, the rhythm won't stop with artists like Buhos, who in 2026 celebrate their 20th anniversary; La Pegatina, one of the biggest names in festival music, with more than 1,200 concerts under their belt and a live show that never fails; 31 FAM, who continue to set the pace for urban pop in Catalonia; or Macaco, a benchmark of musical fusion with a universe that mixes rumba, reggae and funk since their beginnings in the streets of Barcelona.
Els Amics de les Arts will also be performing, with a set list packed with generational anthems such as Ja no ens passa, Jean-Luc and 4-3-3; Maria Jaume, who has just released her fourth album, Sant Domingo Forever; Triquell, who are continuing to build on their success following the release of Jugular; and Lildami, who will be presenting their latest album, Bentornat.
The Sant Jordi Musical will also be an opportunity to discover new voices that are gaining increasing prominence, such as Ven'nus, Ceaxe, Griso, Juls, Julia Blum, Leyre Estruch, Eva Fort and Naina. Other artists from the Catalan music scene, such as Pastora, Xarim Aresté, Magalí Sare, Gessamí Boada, Paula Valls and El Pony Pisador, will add to a diverse line-up that will turn the day into a huge music festival.
Aside from the concerts, there will be album signings throughout the day, giving attendees the opportunity to meet the artists. Both the musicians performing at the Estrella Damm Old Brewery and other guests will participate, such as La Fúmiga, Paula Mattheus and Dorian who will come to the venue to spend some time with their fans. Martí Melcion will also be there, visiting the Old Brewery to sign copies of the comic Elma y sus amigos.
As usual, food will also be on hand, with a selection of dishes to suit all tastes, including vegan and gluten-free options, provided by local food trucks.
A Sant Jordi with a spirit of solidarity
The Estrella Damm Old Brewery will also host a charity market where visitors can buy roses (both fresh and handmade), second-hand books and other items inspired by the festival, created by various social organisations such as Apunts, the Fundació Amics de la Gent Gran, the Fundació Arrels, the Fundació Finestrelles, the Fundació Jeroni de Moragas, the Fundació Portolà, Fundación Vicente Ferrer and Solidaritat Sant Joan de Déu. The profits from the charity stalls will be allocated to the Red Cross’ Extreme Vulnerability Programme, which supports the homeless and elderly people suffering from unwanted loneliness, as well as the unemployed, among other vulnerable groups.
In addition, Damm has also organised a book collection drive amongst the company’s staff as part of the “Recicla Cultura” (Recycle Culture) campaign, with proceeds from the sale going towards educational projects for young people in socially vulnerable situations.
Admission to the Sant Jordi Musical at the Estrella Damm Old Brewery is free. As this is a closed venue, access will be limited until full capacity is reached.
